Faculty Experiential Workshops for SPM students

On May 11, 2024, our IT school was thrilled to be part of the Faculty Experiential Workshops alongside the astonishing Kem Motivasi & Bengkel Kecemerlangan SPM Sejarah 2024 event at Block C, UCSI University. Amidst the vibrant atmosphere, our booth, nestled in the heart of Auditorium C302, Block C, Level 3, UCSI University, hosted an eager gathering of approximately 170 SPM students during the breakout session. With meticulous coordination led by our SEC team, Mr. Kent and Ms. Lilian, our engagement unfolded seamlessly from 3:00 to 4:15 pm, ensuring a dynamic and fruitful interaction. Guided by the proficiency of lecturer Ts. Soo Weng Jyh, our sharing session, titled "Your First Steps in Cybersecurity," aimed to ignite a crucial understanding of cybersecurity among the attending SPM students. Their enthusiastic response reverberated through the session as they enthusiastically delved into discussions and immersive games, exploring fundamental cybersecurity concepts, safeguarding personal data, and mastering effective online practices. Adding to the enriching tapestry of knowledge, Ms. Sunita, our IT School's respected Head of Program (HOP), captivated the audience by introducing the top ten information technology and information systems topics. This visionary initiative broadened the horizons of SPM students, offering them a compelling glimpse into the realm of IT-related tertiary studies. The resounding success of this workshop stands as a testament to its profound impact on nurturing cybersecurity awareness among SPM students. As our nation strides into the digital era, the significance of understanding cybersecurity, IT, and IS cannot be overstated. We take pride in our role in equipping these students with essential insights and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of our increasingly digitalized society.
