Dr. Tarin Ong, a Lecturer in Learning Support at Murdoch University's Singapore Office, visited UCSI College on June 6th and 7th, 2024. During her visit, she engaged in open discussions with the academic team and closely interacted with our pioneer BIT students. Dr. Tarin conducted workshops for BIT students on "Fundamentals of Academic Reading and Writing" and "Working in Groups." These sessions aimed to enhance students' academic skills and foster collaboration and communication through group activities. Additionally, Dr. Tarin met with UCSI College's Affiliate Lecturers to provide a comprehensive overview of the Murdoch Intranet, MyMurdoch LMS, career development programs, and self-learning courses. She also listened to the lecturers' feedback on their teaching routines and experiences with BIT students. Dr. Tarin's visit has enriched our experience, reinforcing Murdoch University's core values of academic integrity in education and research. We have gained valuable insights from this meetup and look forward to applying what we have learned.
