UCSI College Unveils New Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Courses

On April 23, UCSI College celebrated the soft launch of its inaugural Open & Distance Learning (ODL) courses. Within the IT School, Ts. Soo Weng Jyh played a pivotal role in establishing academic partnerships with CompTIA and AWS Academy, significantly enhancing the College's industry connections. UCSI College is now recognized as a CompTIA Academic Partner, a status that remains valid until March 28, 2025. Additionally, the college has joined AWS Academy as a member institution.

In collaboration with other experienced lecturers, Ts. Soo Weng Jyh designed his first ODL program, "Fundamentals of Cybersecurity." This course, comprising ten modules, aims to bridge the gap between educational theory and industry knowledge. His goal is to introduce students to the latest advancements in the field, thereby boosting their cybersecurity awareness and preparedness.
